Glass made at a factory in Harrow will be returning to the borough in a church?s stained glass window.
The windows will be installed at St George's Church, in Pinner View, Headstone, and will include glass made at The Whitefriars factory, in Wealdstone.
The glass was removed from St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square and is being brought to Harrow by Steve Clare, national adviser on stained glass to the National Trust.
The glass is of a type invented in the late nineteenth century and commonly known as Norman slab, pioneered by Whitefriars.
The company first moved its factory to Wealdstone in 1922 from the City of London.
The stained glass department closed in 1973 which was followed by the closure of the factory in 1980.
